There is this story about the moon-cake ,During the Yuan dynasty, China was ruled by the Mongolian people , Leaders from the preceding Sung dynasty were unhappy at submitting to the foreign rule ,and decided to find a way to coordinate the rebellion, knowing that the moon Festival was drawing near, ordered the making of special cakes , Baked into each moon cake was a message with the outline of the attack, on the night of the Moon Festival ,the rebels successfully attacked and kastade regeringen. Idag äts mooncakes till denna legende och kallades Mooncake

I generationer har mooncakes gjorts med söta fyllningar av nötter, mosade röda bönor, lotus-fröpasta eller kinesiska datum, inslagna i en bakverk, ibland kan en kokta äggulk hittas i mitten av den rika smakindresserten, människor jämför månkakor med plommonpudding och fruktkakor som serveras i engelska semestern

Nuförtiden finns det hundra sorter av Mooncakes till försäljning en månad innan Moon Festival anländer
